about
For all the folk/prog music I've been writing recently, a song such as this had to come out of my brain to act as a counterbalance. It appeared like a natural growth in my brain like an 80s pop/Bryan Adamsesque tumor. When I became weary of composing "respectable" music it fell out of my head in a grandiose, lethargic clump and took little effort to write, arrange and record. It is the anti-folk, anti-prog, anti-classical abomination of January 2013. I had a real good time coming up with the most epic arrangements possible, and not giving a darn how ludicrous it sounds.
I've been recording for about 2 weeks.
Go with Christ,

lyrics
Anna, oh Anna, I don't feel a thing.
Anna, oh Anna, where have you been this year?
You passed from my life, and your light disappeared.
Come to Victoria, and take care of me for a while.
And I'll lay my aching bones on the beach by the fire.
Delicately constructed, understatedly intricate, and profoundly moving folk music from Scottish singer-songwriter Stephen McAll. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2021
